Insyde® Software’s Latest OpenBMC Product Includes Cross-Platform Support for Both AMD and Intel CPU-Based Servers

Supervyse® OPF Ready for Next-Gen Platforms with a Host of Advanced Features

Announcement is Second in Week-Long Series of Innovations Shared During Insyde Software’s Innovate25 Event

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – September 20, 2022 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software today announced that its OpenBMC-based BMC firmware product, Supervyse OPF, now includes support for both AMD and Intel-based server platforms within the same software, greatly reducing the engineering development time needed to support new servers, while at the same time simplifying the long-term maintenance demands across multiple server designs.

In addition to this significant “single-product, cross-platform” release which leverages a common development environment and tool suite regardless of the choice of CPU vendor, Insyde Software has also added a host of new capabilities to its Supervyse OPF product that establish some clear distinction between it and the open-source implementations of OpenBMC. These include but are not limited to:

  • Extensive Redfish schema support.
  • New management functions.
  • Additional sensor support.
  • Firmware run-time debug.
  • Support for a variety of Platform Firmware Resiliency (PFR) and HRoT (Hardware Root-of-Trust) variations.
  • Enhanced WebUI support for BIOS and network management.
  • Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) Off-load.
  • And more…

“We’ve listened to our customers’ needs and challenges with regards to supporting OpenBMC firmware solutions across their server product portfolio and there were many,” said Jonathan Joseph, COO and General Manager of the Server Business at Insyde Software. “This latest version of Supervyse OPF is a result of years of development, our understanding of the market changes and executing on an architecture that is both open and built for the future of datacenters, enterprises and hyperscalers,” added Joseph.
