Insyde® Software and KingTiger™ Technology Deliver Integrated UEFI BIOS & Memory Failure Detection for Intel Client and Server Platforms

BIOS-Based Joint Solution Provides a New Level of System Memory Reliability
Resulting in Improved Customer Satisfaction and Lower Support Costs

COMPUTEX - TAIPEI, TAIWAN – JUNE 2, 2015 – Insyde® Software, one of the world’s leading providers of UEFI BIOS and firmware tools, and KingTiger Technology, a leading designer of Test Equipment for the memory semiconductor industry, today announced the availability of iMS™ (Intelligent Memory Surveillance) with InsydeH2O UEFI BIOS for Intel Client (Broadwell) and Server (Grantley) platforms.

KingTiger’s iMS technology which detects and avoids computer memory failures has been integrated into Insyde Software’s flagship UEFI BIOS product, InsydeH2O and validated on Broadwell and Grantley platforms. Through this approach, iMS running from within the BIOS can dramatically improve computer reliability and significantly lower manufacturers’ memory related returns and support costs, all without impacting the user’s computing experience.

The low-level software solution from the two companies’ joint efforts will perform factory burn-in, memory surveillance, failure detection, allowing problematic memory to be identified before product shipping or be masked off during system power-on. Furthermore, KingTiger will offer a free version of iMS for certain OEM customers to protect Broadwell and Grantley platforms from system crashes caused by single memory address failure. These platforms will have the ability to upgrade to a full feature edition of iMS at a later date.

“Our engineering teams have been working closely together for quite some time,” said Casey Pankonien, President, KingTiger Technology, Inc. “We are thrilled to have this joint solution available for our mutual customers at this time,” added Pankonien.

“KingTiger’s technology addresses one of the most critical system reliability issues of our customers,” said Jeremy Wang, CEO of Insyde Software. “By working with KingTiger, our mutual customers will benefit from the added reliability, resulting in lower support and product return costs for their computing systems,” added Wang.

Insyde Software and KingTiger will be showing demonstrations of this powerful memory surveillance and diagnostics solution during the Computex Taipei trade show, June 2-5, 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan.
