Insyde® Software and the UEFI Forum to Host UEFI Plugfest in Taipei


Computer Industry’s Leaders Assemble for Hands-on Firmware
and Operating System Interoperability Testing

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - October 11, 2011 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) firmware and a Taipei, Taiwan headquartered company, today announced that for the second consecutive year it will host the Fall UEFI Plugfest on October 25-27, 2011 at the Holiday Inn East Taipei hotel.

Participation in this Plugfest will include over 150 engineers representing more than 25 companies. UEFI firmware developers, software engineers and quality assurance teams will come together for 3 days of hands-on interoperability testing, self-certification testing, technical presentations and industry networking in a friendly environment with other UEFI member companies.

UEFI Plugfest sponsors include AMD, AMI, Intel, Microsoft Corp. and Phoenix Technologies. The event will also feature a Microsoft-sponsored dinner reception on Wednesday evening, October 26, 2011.
