Insyde® Software Celebrates Over 20 Years of UEFI Innovation

Two Decade Span Oversees Many Achievements Including Industry Firsts and Widespread Adoption by Computer Makers

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – January 20, 2022 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) and systems management BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) firmware, announced today their celebration of over 20 years of UEFI innovation.

Insyde Software’s history of delivering firmware innovation and leadership in the computing industry began after the company executed its first “Tiano” related agreement with Intel for what has become the de facto standard in hardware to operating system interfaces. By 2003, Insyde Software was the first company to put UEFI BIOS into production with its flagship product: InsydeH2O.

The company’s continued investment in product development and education has been demonstrated in their role as founding member of the UEFI Forum, being the first Independent BIOS Vendor to ship a EDK II UEFI BIOS, the training of thousands of firmware engineers on UEFI technology, and the successful shipment of hundreds of millions of PCs, servers, networking equipment and more booting UEFI firmware.

“We’re proud to celebrate our long, successful history of UEFI innovation and all of the significant milestones over the last 20 years,” said Stephen Gentile, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Insyde Software. “Our early commitment to embracing this technology helped lay a solid foundation for our organization and to this day, provides modern, secure and customizable firmware to our customers,” added Gentile.
