Insyde® Software Delivers New Enterprise Features for Windows Notebooks Powered by Snapdragon Compute Platforms

InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS Enables Mobile Device Management, Enhances Platform Security and More

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – June 1, 2023 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and BMC management firmware, announced today the availability of a new version of InsydeH2O® BIOS that enables enterprise-ready mobile client computers powered by the Snapdragon® 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform.

Today’s release of InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS expands the company’s industry-leading offerings for Windows products powered by Snapdragon, by delivering MDM (Mobile Device Management) functionality, BIOS-level platform authentication for secure deployment in enterprise environments and more. The following new features and solutions will be available for demonstration during Computex Taipei:

  • Microsoft DFCI (Device Firmware Configuration Interface) helps IT administrators and CSPs manage devices remotely by securely enabling zero-touch remote configuration of the UEFI BIOS on enrolled machines.
  • Initially released for x86 platforms, Insyde Software’s Admyn is a BIOS-based device management solution that enables remote device configuration, firmware updates, health monitoring, troubleshooting, device recovery and much more.
  • InsydeH2O’s FIDO support delivers firmware-level authentication through Yubikey™ U2F USB security keys for a more secure, password-less experience compared to traditional password-based BIOS login.

Additionally, when combining these features with Insyde’s previously announced support for Absolute Software’s Persistence® secure device management and endpoint healing solution, new Snapdragon powered notebooks are well-equipped to satisfy a wide range of enterprise device enrollment, configuration and management requirements.

“Today’s announcement represents how our continued collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. advance the Snapdragon compute ecosystem,” said Alan Lo, Associate Vice President of the Personal Computing Group at Insyde Software. “We believe our customers will leverage these new solutions and features to leverage cutting-edge connected PCs for the enterprise market that take advantage of the performance, efficiency and connectivity that Snapdragon compute platforms deliver,” added Lo.

Insyde Software will be meeting its customers and partners during Computex Taipei from May 30 through June 2, 2023 at The Place Taipei Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.
