Insyde® Software Demonstrates Its DMTF Redfish™ Product Advancements

Support for this Distributed Management Task Force Open Industry Standard to be Available in Future Versions of Supervyse® Systems Management Software

INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM – SAN FRANCISCO, CA – August 16, 2016 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, announced today that it will be showcasing Supervyse® systems manageability products that implement the DMTF Redfish™ open industry standard specification.

Redfish is designed to improve data center and cloud infrastructure management across different platforms. It accomplishes this by defining a RESTful interface and utilizes JSON and OData to help IT professionals integrate flexible and secure network management of server systems and data center devices.

The Supervyse family of products provides out-of-band remote platform management, support for a wide breadth of industry standards for server manageability, fan/sensor/power-supply monitoring and control, media redirection, KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) support and comprehensive security features for enterprise, data center and cloud server designs. Insyde Software provides close cooperation between its BIOS and management firmware components, making common tasks like failure analysis more efficient than ever.

Insyde Software’s Supervyse BMC-based (Baseboard Management Controller) and IE-based (Innovation Engine) product families incorporate Redfish building blocks known as schema. A custom set of schema establishes a profile that matches the unique requirements for data center and cloud service environments. Examples of this architecture include profiles that apply specifically to storage servers or elements of Intel’s Rack Scale Design platforms.

“We are happy to have Insyde Software support the Redfish standard," said Jeff Hilland, president of the DMTF. "As demonstrations from DMTF member companies are a testament to the public availability and true interoperability of the standard, we applaud Insyde Software for showcasing its demonstration at this year's Intel Developer Forum."

“The decision to adopt Redfish in our product portfolio was an easy one,” said Jeff Bobzin, VP of Product Architecture, Insyde Software. “Along with our customers, we recognize the need for more modern advances in the management of data center and cloud service infrastructure,” added Bobzin.

Insyde Software will provide more details and demonstrations of its latest Supervyse product family integrating Redfish during the Intel Developer Forum, August 16th -18th in San Francisco, CA.
