InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS Powering New Base Stations with Telecom-optimized firmware for 10nm Intel® Atom® P5900 System-on-Chip
TAIPEI, TAIWAN – June 3rd, 2020 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, today announced that its flagship firmware, InsydeH2O®, is enabling new 5G wireless base stations featuring the Intel ®Atom® P5900 system-on-chip processor.
Insyde Software’s major telecom customers both in Europe and China have leveraged InsydeH2O to enable the latest platform features and more quickly deliver new base stations that will serve 5G service demands with lower latency, higher bandwidth and increased network capacity. These new designs feature the Intel® Atom® P5900 (formerly Snow Ridge) SoC, which was designed from the ground up for 5G service with improved performance per watt, ultra-low latency and, integrated packet processing that includes load balancing, accelerated security and compression, accelerated inline cryptography, and improved network performance.
