InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS Allows for More Powerful, Responsive, and Intelligent Premium Notebook PCs from Acer®, HP® and Lenovo®
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, December 29, 2020 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and BMC management firmware, announced today that several of its customers are using InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS for their newest, ultra-portable PCs designed for the Intel® Evo™ platform.
Intel Evo is a new platform brand for laptop designs that feature 11th generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics and meets the specifications and Key Experience Indicators (KEI) defined under the 2nd edition Project Athena innovation program. The ultra-thin and light notebook PCs designed under this program feature the recently launched “Tiger Lake” CPUs with frequencies up to 4.8GHz, Intel Iris Xe graphics with 8K HDR display support, AI-acceleration, PCIe Gen 4, longer battery life with quick charge capability, best-in-class connectivity with Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), and much more.
Insyde was able to assist its customers in overcoming the many product feature and design challenges involved in certifying designs under this year’s more stringent “Project Athena” specifications to successfully deliver their Intel Evo-brand notebooks to market. Included among the new Intel Evo-branded products powered by InsydeH2O are Porsche Design® Acer® Book RS and Acer Swift 5, HP® Envy™ 13, and the Lenovo® Yoga™ Slim 9i, 7i Pro and 7i Carbon notebook PCs.
