AWS DeepRacer™ Delivers Advanced, Autonomous Innovation Leveraging InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, January 15, 2019 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management solutions, announced today that its flagship UEFI firmware product, InsydeH2O®, is enabling Amazon Web Services’ latest machine learning device, the AWS DeepRacer™, an autonomous race car which provides developers a new and faster way to learn reinforcement learning.
AWS DeepRacer is a 1/18th scale race car which provides a unique and entertaining way to get started with reinforcement learning (RL). RL is an advanced machine learning (ML) technique that takes a different approach to training models than other machine learning methods, and is most commonly associated with self-driving cars. Using a camera to view the track and a reinforcement model to control throttle and steering, the race car shows how a model trained in a simulated environment can be transferred to the real-world.
