Insyde® Software Introduces Admyn™ Cloud-based Device Management Solution

BIOS-enabled Technology Adds Remote Manageability, Diagnostics, Intrusion Detection and More
Latest in Series of Announcements Made During Insyde Software’s Innovate25 Event

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – September 21, 2022 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, today announced the introduction of a new client PC and device manageability solution known as Admyn™.  This comprehensive BIOS-based product boasts a wide spectrum of features that allows easier, faster and more secure management of personal computers in corporate and enterprise environments.  While Admyn delivers more features with Insyde’s own InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS, it also supports third-party BIOS products to deliver critical capabilities for monitoring the computer’s health as well as provisioning and system configuration.

Available as a cloud-based solution or as an on-premise deployment, Admyn enabled on systems with InsydeH2O BIOS will greatly ease an IT administrator’s job by giving an at-a-glance view of the managed systems’ health while also providing in-depth system diagnostics and reporting, remote access via KVM, security intrusion alerts and secure boot management without special hardware support.   Admyn managed systems can be controlled from Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android devices.  Admyn centralizes remote maintenance, and enables device configuration, firmware updates, health monitoring, and troubleshooting, as well as recovery of the device as needed.

Because of Admyn’s close integration with the system BIOS, this solution includes some unique security related capabilities not otherwise found on traditional OS-only based device management solutions. Admyn has the ability to perform security analysis to identify possible intrusion and risks while alerting IT to enable mitigation actions.   In addition, Admyn can access and control many of the key functions found in the firmware including:

  • Enabling Secure Boot
  • BIOS & HDD password management
  • Boot order control
  • Platform lock/unlock
  • Port lock/unlock
  • BIOS image updates
  • And more…

“Adding the Admyn device management solution to our product portfolio was a natural decision based on our longstanding heritage in BIOS, security, device configuration and systems management,” said Aven Chuang, President, at Insyde Software. “While we recognize the acceptance of DASH as a standard for device management, delivering Admyn as a cloud-based or on-premise solution today enhances the security management and eliminates any LAN-related restrictions and complications without sacrificing any of the capability,” added Chuang.
