Insyde® Software Powers Up Atos® BullSequana X1000 Supercomputer
Germany’s Fastest Supercomputer Leverages InsydeH2O® UEFI Firmware
EMBEDDED WORLD - NUREMBERG, GERMANY – February 27, 2018 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, announced today that its flagship UEFI firmware, InsydeH2O®, is shipping on the newly launched Atos® BullSequana X1000 line of supercomputers featuring the Intel® Xeon® and Intel Xeon Scalable family of processors.
The BullSequana X1000, a 12-Petaflop machine (able to execute more than 12 million billion operations per second) will be Germany’s fastest supercomputer and one the most powerful computers in the world. Among other activities, the BullSequana X100 will be used in research for the Human Brain Project, which has as its goal to improve the understanding of the processes in the human brain through simulation.
