TAIPEI, TAIWAN, September 05, 2018 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management solutions, announced today that its flagship UEFI firmware product, InsydeH2O®, is shipping on Microsoft’s recently launched Surface Go ultra-portable tablet PC featuring the 7th Generation Intel® Pentium® Gold Processor and the latest release of Microsoft Windows® 10 S.
Weighing only 1.15lbs and featuring a 10” touchscreen, 9 hour battery life and fully harnessing new performance and security improvements with Windows 10 S, the Surface Go represents a new touchstone in tablet PC design for its combination of performance, versatility, and affordability.
Insyde’s platform optimization expertise was leveraged to help deliver this exciting new ultra-portable PC to market. Specifically, InsydeH2O enabled key features such as Secure Boot, firmware-based Trusted Platform Module support, Microsoft’s Credential Guard and Device Guard requirements, Modern Standby, graphical Setup and more.
