Insyde™ Software Strengthens Infrastructure for Supporting China Technology Ecosystem

Intel Developer Forum – Shenzhen China, April 8, 2015 - Insyde™ Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and Android™ system-level software, today announced an expansion of its support teams and solution offerings for the Intel CTE (China Technology Ecosystem) customers.

Collaborating closely with Intel, Insyde’s China engineering teams have successfully enabled numerous CTE customers including 3NOD, Malata, Yifang, Hampoo, iNet, Onda, Bluebank and more, resulting in the shipment of millions of units of Intel “Bay Trail” based mobile computers and tablets. Insyde provided hands-on engineering in Shenzhen and at other customer locations, technical training, product customizations and consulting services to assist their CTE customers in shipping many variations of Windows® and Android devices, some having the ability to run both OSes on the same device.

Insyde has continuously invested engineering and customer support resources to develop innovative solutions and provide quick time-to-market for CTE device makers, by offering:

  • UEFI BIOS and Innovative Apps including ShareKanTan™ - a simple to use application for remote control of keyboard, mouse and power of Windows 8.1 systems via a secondary device such as a smartphone.
  • Compute Stick solutions, including the UEFI BIOS, security, Android customizations, remote control, browsing and more.
  • InsydeQ2S™ – “Quick-to-Switch” technology with support for native Android. InsydeQ2S enables users to enjoy both Windows and Android on the same device, and to quickly switch from one to the other.
  • An Android BSP for Intel Core-M CTE reference design – a custom Android BSP to meet the varying needs of CTE customers developing Intel Core-M products which will run Android.

“It’s rewarding to see our hard work and investment in supporting the CTE ecosystem pay off,” said Aven Chuang, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Personal Computing Group at Insyde Software. “So many of our customers have shipped Windows and Android-based tablets with InsydeH2O and we look forward to seeing more of their innovative products in the market soon,”
added Chuang.

Insyde Software will be showing demonstrations of a sampling of these platforms at its booth #710 during the Intel Developer Forum, occurring April 8-9, 2015 in Shenzhen, China.
