Insyde Software Delivers UEFI BIOS and BMC Firmware for New Western Digital® Ultrastar® Servers

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 11, 2019 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, today announced that Western Digital is shipping InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS and Supervyse® BMC firmware on the recently launched Ultrastar® Serv60+8 hybrid storage server and InsydeH2O on the Ultrastar® Serv24-A rugged portable server.

The Western Digital Ultrastar Serv60+8 is a 4U hybrid storage server that addresses the high-performance and high reliability needs of large enterprise customers and cloud service providers. It features dual Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, up to 60 HDDs plus 8 SSDs and hybrid support for up to 24 SSDs (SAS or SATA) in place of HDDs for a data acceleration tier. The Ultrastar Serv24-A is a rugged, high-performance portal server designed for physical data transport and features dual Intel® Xeon® Silver processors, secure erase, TPM (Trusted Platform Module), and AES-256 encryption.
