Insyde Software Hosts Successful UEFI Plugfest Event in Taipei
Taiwan’s Computing Community Comes Together for Interoperability
Testing and Industry Networking
TAIPEI, TAIWAN - November 5, 2014 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS today announced successful completion of the UEFI Plugfest compatibility testing event which took place in Taipei, Taiwan, October 13-17, 2014 at the Capital Hotel. This was the 3rd time in the past 5 years that Insyde Software has hosted this important industry event, together with The UEFI Forum.
Participation in the UEFI Plugfest included over 150 engineers representing more than 25 companies such as Asus, Canonical, Dell, HP, Intel, Microsoft, NVidia, Realtek, SanDisk, SUSE and more. UEFI firmware developers, software engineers and quality assurance teams joined together for a week of hands-on interoperability testing, self-certification testing, technical presentations and industry networking in a friendly environment with other UEFI member companies.
UEFI Plugfest sponsors included AMI, ARM, Insyde Software, Intel, and Phoenix Technologies, as well as The UEFI Forum organization. The event also featured a UEFI Forum-sponsored dinner reception on Wednesday evening, October 15th at the Music Corner restaurant and lounge.
