Insyde Software Provides Framework Support for AMD Processors

Result of Collaboration Demonstrated by AMD at the Microsoft WinHEC Conference

WinHEC, Seattle, WA -- May 22, 2006 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS and engineering services, today announced that it has enabled AMD processors and platforms with its flagship firmware product, InsydeH2O™ This latest product advancement will be on-display running Windows Vista™ in AMD’s booth at Microsoft WinHEC, the premier industry event where Microsoft and partners establish future directions for the Windows hardware platform.

Working together, Insyde and AMD engineers successfully developed UEFI based PEI and DXE drivers to interface with AMD processors. Further, a standard method of supporting AMD’s AGESA (AMD Generic & Encapsulated Software Architecture) code with Insyde’s Framework technology was jointly created.
