Insyde Software Provides Framework Support for Next Generation Trusted Platform Modules
InsydeH2O™ Helps Secure Computing Platforms with Sinosun TPMs
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, BEIJING, April 17th, 2007 -- Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS and engineering services, today announced support of Sinosun Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) with InsydeH2O, Insyde¡¦s BIOS replacement technology built on the Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for EFI.
Working collaboratively with Sinosun, Insyde has successfully ported InsydeH2O to meet the latest TPM industry specifications for the Sinosun and Sinosun is one of two authorized TPM providers in China. The TPM Specifications are published by the widely supported Trusted Computing Group (www.trustedcomputinggroup.org). The TPM is a microcontroller that stores keys, passwords and digital certificates. It typically is affixed to the motherboard of a PC. It potentially can be used in any computing device that requires these functions. The nature of this silicon ensures that the information stored there is made more secure from external software attack and physical theft. Security processes, such as digital signature and key exchange, are protected through the secure TCG subsystem
