XpressROM™ Firmware to Help Deliver Innovative Single-Board Computer Designs

TAIPEI, TAIWAN and SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, March 27, 2007 --Insyde Software, a leading provider of system software, BIOS, and engineering services, today announced the availability of its XpressROM™ BIOS and software support services for two new AMD Geode™ LX based Reference Design Kits (RDKs). The Ultra Value Client RDK helps Single Board Computer (SBC) developers quickly and efficiently create low-power, high-performance single-board designs with faster time to market and low cost to entry. Also announced, the Network Attached Storage RDK will enable wider adoption of low cost computing devices by providing a system design package and a proven reference platform.

Powered by the AMD Geode LX 800@0.9W* processor, the RDKs are an ideal solution for applications such as media servers, network access storage, rugged industrial systems, data acquisition, video processing, point-of-sale terminals, telecommunications, global positioning satellite devices, motion control and more.
