InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS Now Shipping on Newly Released Microsoft Windows® 10 S-based PCs
New Cloud-focused PCs from Acer and HP Feature InsydeH2O and Windows 10 S to Deliver Enhanced Value, Security and Performance to the Education Market
COMPUTEX - TAIPEI, TAIWAN – May 30, 2017 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, today announced that its flagship UEFI product, InsydeH2O® is shipping on new systems featuring the recently announced version of Microsoft® Windows®: Windows 10 S. These new systems include Acer’s TravelMate Spin B118 Convertible Notebook and HP’s Stream 11 Pro G3.
Primarily aimed at the education market, these new machines with Windows 10 S include features and cloud-focused changes to streamline and enhance the Windows experience for students, teachers and education IT staff. Students and teachers benefit from advantages that include a much faster login process, improved cloud storage integration and better application performance and security by running only optimized & verified applications from the Windows App Store. For education IT staff, new deployment functionality makes system customization much quicker, and the prevention of unverified drivers and applications from installing and running means less effort for IT staff to deploy and maintain machines in the field.
InsydeH2O delivers the latest in security and performance features for fast, secure and reliable boot on the industry’s newest PCs. Coupled with Windows 10 S’ controlled firmware and driver updates through Windows Update, end-users will be well protected against malicious threats.
