InsydeH2O™ Provides UEFI Firmware to MiTAC Technology
Combination of Early Silicon Support, New Technologies and Mobile-Centric Features Draws Continued Acceptance from Leading OEM and ODM Notebook Makers
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, TAIPEI, April 10, 2006 - Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS and engineering services, today announced that its InsydeH2O? product is accepted by MiTAC Technology Corporation for new product design. InsydeH2O is Insyde's BIOS replacement technology built on the Intel?Platform Innovation Framework for EFI.
The announcement represents the industry’s first UEFI-enabled Framework solution to support MiTAC’s Intel-based platforms. By virtue of its modular architecture and driver-based model, InsydeH2O can seamlessly support both desktop and mobile platforms using much of the same core code, silicon interfaces and drivers.

At the Intel Developer’s Forum being held this week in Taipei, Taiwan, Insyde (Booth #A1) will demonstrate InsydeH2O running on MiTAC’s new platform design. In addition, Insyde Software and MiTAC will be co-presenting a session entitled, “Applying EFI Framework Lessons Learned for Next Generation Mobile Designs" on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 14:50 in Room 202. Also being demonstrated by Insyde will be InsydeH2O running on server, desktop, notebook, and embedded computer systems.
