Compal, a major system manufacturer, continues to utilize InsydeH2O™
TAIPEI, TAIWAN and HILLSBORO, OR, July 18, 2007-- Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI-based firmware, BIOS, and engineering services, today announced that Compal utilizes InsydeH2O™ to develop the Intel® Santa Rosa (965 Express) platforms for mobile market. Compal has successfully leveraged the newest InsydeH2O™ capabilities for a swift and seamless migration from Legacy BIOS to UEFI Framework.
InsydeH2O (Hardware-2-Operating System) firmware solution is the new generation BIOS replacement technology being used in different computing market segments. Since InsydeH2OTM has always been a pure and the most advanced implementation of the Intel Platform Innovation Framework for EFI technology (“the Framework”), InsydeH2O™ had been adopted by Intel's Mobile Platform Group for validation of their Santa Rosa Platform features.
