Insyde® Software Supports AMD’s Newly Launched Epyc™ Server Processor for Data Centers and High-Performance Computing

InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS and Supervyse® Systems Management Solutions Optimized and Validated on AMD Zen-core Server Platforms

WESTBOROUGH, MA and TAIPEI, TAIWAN – June 20, 2017 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and systems management software, announced today its support for AMD’s “Epyc” server processer targeted at the modern data center and other dual-socket server markets.

Previously codenamed “Naples,” this new family of high-performance products for cloud-based and traditional on-premise datacenters delivers the “Zen” x86 processing engine scaling up to 32 physical cores, with support for two high-performance threads per core.  The processor is a complete SoC (System-on-Chip) design with fully integrated, high-speed I/O supporting 128 lanes of PCIe. In a two-socket server, support included for up to 32 DIMMS of DDR4 on 16 memory channels, delivering up
to 4 terabytes of total memory capacity.
