Insyde® Software, Cadence, and SiPearl Present Shift-Left Firmware Enablement for Chiplets at the 2026 OCP EMEA Summit

Presentation to Discuss Benefits of Validating Chiplet Systems Earlier with Production Firmware in Pre-silicon Environments

OCP EMEA, BARCELONA, Spain – April 27, 2026 – Insyde Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS, OpenBMC, and Root-of-Trust firmware, today announced its participation at the OCP EMEA Summit 2026, where Insyde CTO Tim Lewis will co-present a session on accelerating firmware enablement for chiplet-based architectures.

Taking place on Thursday, April 30, the session, “Shift-Left Firmware Enablement for the Open Chiplet Economy: From Emulation to System-Ready Silicon,” will be co-presented alongside Ravi Narayanaswami, Distinguished Engineer of Cadence Design Systems and Vincent Casillas, CTO of SiPearl as part of the Open Chiplet Economy track.

As chiplet-based architectures become central to next-generation AI and cloud platforms, early system-level validation is increasingly critical. This session will present a proof-of-concept approach for integrating production firmware—including UEFI BIOS, chiplet management firmware (SCP/MCP), and OpenBMC—into emulation environments to enable more realistic platform validation ahead of silicon availability.

This session also highlights alignment with Open Compute Project (OCP) initiatives and Arm SystemReady requirements, supporting broader ecosystem interoperability across heterogeneous compute platforms.

“This session brings together expertise from across firmware, emulation, and silicon design,” said Tim Lewis, CTO of Insyde Software. “By combining the strengths of Insyde, Cadence, and SiPearl, we’re demonstrating how real expertise lets chiplet-based systems be validated and shipped earlier.”

Additionally, Tim Lewis will co-present “From Code to Data: Advancing the Unified Platform Configuration Interface (UPCI)” in the Systems Management track on April 29, highlighting progress in the Open Platform Firmware workstream and the shift toward more open, data-driven platform configuration.
