TAIPEI, TAIWAN – March 22, 2022 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) and systems management BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) firmware, announced today the formation of the OpenBMC Collaboration Center (OCC) where cloud service providers, data center server makers and suppliers and networking/edge device manufacturers can engage with and retain the services of the company’s engineers who have a deep knowledge of BMC and OpenBMC technology.

As a long-time developer of BMC firmware products, Insyde Software recognizes that some companies prefer to keep the design and development of their firmware in-house but may not have all the necessary firmware expertise, implementation techniques, experience, or enough people to get this firmware into production.

This is where the large team of engineers that make up the OCC can help. By offering firmware design, development of OpenBMC features and a pool of engineers for outsourcing, engaging with Insyde’s OCC can dramatically reduce the development difficulties and time-to-market problems of a company’s OpenBMC project.
