Insyde® Software to Ship UEFI BIOS on Microsoft CoPilot+ PCs
InsydeH2O® Helps to Enable a New Category of Windows PCs Designed for AI

COMPUTEX TAIPEI – June 4, 2024 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and OpenBMC-based management firmware, announced today that its flagship firmware solution InsydeH2O® is helping leading PC makers ship the industry’s first CoPilot+ AI PCs, available starting June 18th.
CoPilot+ PCs are a new category of personal computers recently launched by Microsoft to represent the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built. Qualified CoPilot+ PCs must come with at least 16GB ram, 256GB storage, and feature dedicated high-performance NPUs capable of at least 40 TOPS (trillions of operations per second). This NPU will help to enable new AI-powered experiences that run locally on the PCs.
InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS delivers fully optimized firmware to help leading computer makers meet the criteria established by Microsoft for designing CoPilot+ PCs. InsydeH2O helps harness the hardware platform’s compute efficiency and security features with fast performance, all-day battery life, and hardened security through support for the Microsoft Pluton Security processor and the Secured-Core PC standard.
“We are thrilled to help the majority of the industry’s leading OEMs ship the very first CoPilot+ PCs,” said Alan Lo, Senior Assistant Vice President of the Personal Computing Group at Insyde Software. “We look forward to expanding our enabling of CoPilot+ PCs through our cooperation with our x86 and Arm-based silicon partners,” added Lo.
Customers and partners are invited to learn more about Insyde Software’s firmware solutions for enabling CoPilot+ PCs during Computex Taipei from June 4th to June 7th, 2024, at The Place Taipei Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.
