Insyde Software Unveils UEFI BIOS and OpenBMC Firmware for NVIDIA Grace CPU and GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips
Advanced Firmware for NVIDIA Accelerated Computing Platforms Enables Computer Makers to Meet Demand for Giant-Scale AI and HPC

Boston, MA and Taipei, Taiwan – July 25, 2023 – Insyde® Software, a leading provider of UEFI BIOS and BMC management firmware, today announced its full support for the NVIDIA Grace™ CPU Superchip and NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper™ Superchip with highly tuned, customizable versions of InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS and Supervyse® OpenBMC manageability firmware.
Designed for tackling the most demanding AI, HPC, cloud and hyperscale applications, the NVIDIA Grace CPU Superchip delivers high-performance, industry-leading energy efficiency and memory bandwidth through its 144 Arm Neoverse V2 cores connected to LPDDR5X memory supporting up to 1TB/s of bandwidth. Additionally, to meet the needs of today’s most complex and demanding generative AI and accelerated HPC workloads, NVIDIA created the Grace Hopper Superchip, combining NVIDIA’s Grace CPU and Hopper GPU through NVLink-C2C interconnect technology with up to 900GB/sec of bandwidth, which is 7x higher bandwidth than the standard PCIe Gen5 lanes found in traditional accelerated systems.
Through its close working relationship with NVIDIA, Insyde has taken advantage of early access to Grace and Grace Hopper Superchip hardware to develop secure, customizable, and feature-rich InsydeH2O® UEFI BIOS and OpenBMC-based Supervyse® OPF BMC firmware.
“We are pleased to work with NVIDIA to enable some of the industry’s most powerful servers, powered by NVIDIA’s advanced data center CPUs,” said Stephen Gentile, Chief Marketing Officer of Insyde Software. “Our firmware readiness for these solutions and unrivaled support for our customers helps them fully capitalize on the superchips’ compute performance for the growing wave of supercomputing data centers with modern workloads including AI, machine learning, and big data analytics,” added Gentile.
